In a clip that came from a discussion of the afterlife, Christopher Hitchens talks about the proposed Never Ending Party that is monotheism.

The words of Christopher Hitchens are emphasized by the animation of Fraser Davidson and sound mixing of Neil Aldridge and Morgan Samuel. Christopher Hitchens originally said the words during a discussion title “Is There An Afterlife?” The discussion was presented by The Jewish Television Network and The Whizin Centre for Continuing Education at the American Jewish University. I encourage you to follow Fraser Davidson on youtube at https://www.youtube.com/user/fraserdldavidson
Being a graphic designer myself, it is great to see his animation talent be put to the words of such a legend. Fraser Davidson style is great and can be seen throughout the videos on his channel.
Transcript of The Never Ending Party
“It will happen to all of us, that at some point you get tapped on the shoulder and told, not just that the party’s over, but slightly worse: the party’s going on — but you have to leave. And it’s going on without you. That’s the reflection that I think most upsets people about their demise. All right, then, because it might make us feel better, let’s pretend the opposite. Instead, you’ll get tapped on the shoulder and told, Great news: this party’s going on forever – and you can’t leave. You’ve got to stay; the boss says so. And he also insists that you have a good time. The father proposed by monotheism is the father that doesn’t die. Who reassures his children ‘don’t worry, I’ll never leave you. You’ll never see the end of me. You’ll never get the chance to feel sorry, I’m always there. I’m the absolute ultimate in dictatorships and in my courts there is no appeal.’ Do you really think this would cheer up any one of sentients or humanity or capable of feeling of irony. I submit, it is out of the question.”
