Richard Dawkins Debate vs. Cardinall George Pell on the effectiveness of religion and it’s place in the current world.

Richard Dawkins squares off against George Pell in a discussion that debates the supposed “force for good” that is religion. George Pell and Richard Dawkins cover a large amount of topics that range from the big bang to gay equality. With such hot button topics it is no surprise that the audience chimes in. At one point Richard Dawkins even gives a light scold when the audience breaks out in laughter. In this instance Dawkins was a bit quick to the jump as the audience was clearly laughing with him and not at him. That being said, it is easy to see how Dawkins can get so agitated. He is a brilliant man. It has to be tough not to fly off the rails when you’re dealing with such immense ignorance in the people you encounter.

Survival Of The Fittest

It is a bit unfair. How can one argue nonsense when the facts are not on their side? Any theist has an immediate disadvantage when it comes to religious debates. With this George Pell versus Richard Dawkins debate the story is no different. George Pell is obviously not a stupid man, however, his beliefs certainly are. In this Richard Dawkins debate it is easy to see who comes out on top. In darwinian terms, Dawkins is just plainly more fit for survival.
